TeamPulse Health Scorecard: VP-Level Team Analytics Guide

The TeamPulse health scorecard in SuiteCRM is the executive-level command center for Sales Directors, VPs, and Admins. While individual views focus on specific rep activities, the Health Scorecard delivers a high-level aggregate of behavioral health across the entire organization or selected teams – surfacing the leading indicators that revenue reports miss until it is too late.

Introduction: Why the Health Scorecard Matters

Executives typically see only revenue outcomes – a lagging indicator. By the time a missed quota appears on a dashboard, the behavioral breakdown that caused it occurred weeks earlier. The Health Scorecard surfaces those behavioral leading indicators early, allowing leadership to identify organizational process failures (such as a team-wide collapse in Deal Hygiene) before they manifest as missed quarterly targets.

Detailed Breakdown: What You See

1. KPI Snapshot Tiles

The top of the screen features four primary tiles providing an instant health census of the selected team:

  • Avg Team Score: The collective Discipline Score (0-100) for all members in the current view. The system benchmark for a healthy team is 70 or above.
  • Healthy Reps: Count of individuals maintaining a score in the Strong / Exceptional band (70-100).
  • Caution Reps: Count of individuals in the Needs Coaching band (50-69), indicating process gaps that warrant proactive attention.
  • At-Risk Reps: Count of individuals with a score of 49 or below. These reps require immediate intervention.

2. Health Distribution (Donut Chart)

This visualization divides the team into three distinct behavioral bands. Hovering over segments provides exact rep counts:

  • Exceptional / Strong (Green, score 70-100): Model behavior and high process discipline
  • Needs Coaching (Amber, score 50-69): Standard performance with identifiable optimization opportunities
  • At-Risk (Red, score 0-49): Critical process breakdown requiring immediate management action

3. Team Factor Averages (Horizontal Bar Chart)

This chart aggregates the five core discipline factor scores across the entire team, sorted by strength. The shortest bar reveals the primary behavioral bottleneck for the team as a whole:

Factor What It Measures
Follow-up Consistency Speed of response to leads and deals
Task Completion Ratio of tasks finished on time versus overdue
CRM Update Frequency Recency of activity logging and record modifications
Deal Hygiene Percentage of deals with future steps and valid close dates
Activity Continuity Consistency of daily effort – absence of multi-day “dead zones”

4. Top Performers & At-Risk Lists

The bottom of the view highlights specific individuals to facilitate quick recognition or triage:

  • Top Performers: A ranked list of the highest-scoring reps, annotated with rank positions to celebrate consistent process adherence and identify internal benchmarks.
  • At-Risk Reps: A focused list of the reps with the lowest scores (49 or below), showing each rep’s current score and a momentum indicator (? ? ?) to indicate trajectory.

5. Right Panel: Team Health Summary

A collapsible side panel provides a condensed KPI snapshot, including:

  • Avg Score: Current team average
  • At Risk: Total count of critical-tier reps (score <= 49)
  • Signals: Total volume of active behavioral warnings (Stale Pipeline, Login Gaps, etc.)
  • Hygiene: Percentage of open deals touched within the last 14 days

Score Bands Reference

Score Range Band Action for Leadership
90-100 Exceptional Recognize publicly; use as internal benchmark
70-89 Strong / Standard Meets system benchmark; sustain and develop
50-69 Needs Coaching Proactive coaching; identify the weakest factor
0-49 Critical / At-Risk Immediate intervention; escalate if no improvement

How to Use the Health Scorecard

  1. Navigate: Click Health Scorecard under the Analytics group in the left sidebar.
  2. Filter by Team: Use the Team Selector dropdown in the top bar to switch between different regional or functional groups.
  3. Adjust Timeframe: Toggle between 1W, 2W, 1M, or Custom filters to see how health distribution has shifted over different periods.
  4. Identify the Bottleneck: Look for the shortest bar in the Team Factor Averages chart. This represents the primary behavioral bottleneck for the entire team and should drive the next coaching initiative.
  5. Drill Down: Click any rep name in the At-Risk Reps or Top Performers lists to open their specific Member Drill profile for a deeper behavioral investigation.

Next Steps & Management Decisions

After reviewing the Health Scorecard, take the following actions:

  • Address Systematic Gaps: If “Deal Hygiene” is the lowest team average, initiate a team-wide “Pipeline Cleanup” week and adjust hygiene thresholds in Settings.
  • Intervene on At-Risk Reps: For reps in the Red band (score <= 49), navigate to the Recommendations engine to see the coaching plan for that individual.
  • Resource Reallocation: If one team has a significantly higher “At-Risk” percentage than others, investigate whether the team’s manager needs additional support or whether the territory is over-extended.
  • Celebrate Excellence: Use the Top Performers list to send a “Kudos” action via the Actions tool, reinforcing high-discipline behavior across the organization.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Why is our Avg Team Score high but our At-Risk Rep count is also high?

This indicates a polarized team. You likely have several elite performers whose high scores are masking the significant behavioral declines of a few struggling reps. Use the Health Distribution donut chart to see the true spread across the three bands – the aggregate average alone does not tell the full story.

What defines a rep as “At-Risk” on this screen?

By default, TeamPulse flags any rep with a total Discipline Score of 49 or below as At-Risk. This threshold is visible and configurable in Settings → General.

Can a rep see the Health Scorecard?

No. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) ensures that Reps are redirected to their My Performance self-view. The Health Scorecard is restricted to Managers, VPs, and Admins who require aggregate team visibility. TeamPulse uses three RBAC roles: Admin, Manager, and Rep.

What version is this guide for?

This guide covers TeamPulse v0.9.9 for SuiteCRM. In demo mode, the scorecard populates with data for 25 fictional reps across three teams (Midmarket, Enterprise, and SMB) for evaluation purposes.

Which date ranges are supported?

The Health Scorecard supports 1W, 2W, 1M, and Custom date range filters. A 3-month (3M) preset is not available in the current release.
