The TeamPulse intelligence treemap SuiteCRM view gives sales VPs and administrators a single-screen behavioral org chart of every team and rep in the organization. Instead of clicking into each Member Drill one at a time to assess 25 reps across three teams, the Intelligence Treemap compresses that workflow into a 10-second visual scan – showing where behavioral risk is concentrated, which teams have pockets of concern, and which reps need immediate follow-up.

Introduction: The Problem This Solves
Traditional CRM reporting surfaces historical numbers – closed revenue, pipeline value, activity counts. But assessing the process health behind those numbers requires navigating rep by rep, report by report. For a manager overseeing multiple teams, that is not a scalable daily practice.
The Intelligence Treemap solves this by rendering the entire sales organization as a collapsible behavioral hierarchy. You see the org score at the root, team scores at the branch level, and individual rep scores at the leaf level – all color-coded by health threshold. A single glance identifies which branch of the org tree is showing stress before it shows up in revenue.
Accessing the Intelligence Treemap
The Intelligence Treemap is registered in the Analytics sidebar group under the label Intelligence Map. Navigate to Analytics → Intelligence Map to open the view. The route identifier is intelligence-map.
Access is scoped to Admin and Manager roles. Sales reps do not see this view – it is a leadership-layer tool.
Reading the Tree: Four Levels of Hierarchy
The treemap renders as a visual SVG tree with four distinct levels. Each level is clickable and expandable inline.
Level 1 – Organization
The root node of the tree represents the entire organization. It displays the aggregate discipline score across all teams and all reps. This is the top-line behavioral health indicator for the organization as a whole – equivalent to the Team Health dashlet on the Dashboard, but positioned here as the entry point of a navigable hierarchy.
Level 2 – Teams
Beneath the org root, each configured team appears as a branch node. The team node shows the team’s average discipline score and is color-coded using the Treemap’s color scale (see Color Coding below). Expanding a team node reveals its individual members.
Level 3 – Members
Each rep appears as a leaf node under their team. The member node displays the rep’s name, their overall discipline score, and a compact score ring – the same ring visualization used in Member Drill, rendered inline within the tree so you do not need to navigate away to see it.
Level 4 – 5-Factor Accordion
Clicking or hovering a member node expands an inline accordion showing that rep’s breakdown across the five behavioral discipline factors. This allows a manager to identify not just that a rep is underperforming, but which specific dimension is driving the low score – without opening a separate view.
Color Coding: What the Colors Mean
Every node in the tree is color-coded using a three-tier threshold scale specific to the Intelligence Treemap:
| Color | Score Range | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Green | 70 and above | Healthy – process adherence is strong |
| Yellow | 50 to 69 | At risk – coaching attention recommended |
| Red | Below 50 | Critical – immediate intervention required |
Important: These thresholds are specific to the Intelligence Treemap’s visual layer. Other views in TeamPulse use different sensitivity settings. The Leaderboard and Member Drill score rings use a green threshold of 75 and above, not 70. The Treemap is intentionally calibrated at a broader green band to give a high-level organizational signal – it is designed to surface structural risk patterns across the hierarchy, not to replace the fine-grained diagnostics of Member Drill.
How to Use the Treemap in Practice
The intended workflow for a daily or weekly org scan is as follows:
- Navigate to Analytics → Intelligence Map.
- Scan the team-level branch nodes. Any team node colored yellow or red has an aggregate behavioral risk worth investigating.
- Expand a flagged team to reveal member nodes. Identify which reps within that team are pulling the team score down.
- Hover or click a red member node to expand the 5-factor accordion. Identify which specific discipline factors are low – this tells you whether the issue is activity volume, deal hygiene, task completion, or another dimension.
- Click through to that rep’s Member Drill for a full behavioral deep-dive, or send a Coaching Note or Alert directly from the Actions Hub.
This workflow takes under two minutes for a full org review – compared with manually opening Member Drill for each rep individually.
Intelligence Treemap vs. the Dashboard
Both the Dashboard and the Intelligence Treemap show organizational behavioral data, but they serve different analytical purposes.
| Capability | Dashboard | Intelligence Treemap |
|---|---|---|
| Primary view | KPI dashlets + member tile grid | Collapsible org hierarchy tree |
| Organizational structure | Not shown – all reps in one grid | Org ? Teams ? Members hierarchy |
| Best for | Spotting individual outliers quickly | Identifying which teams carry the most risk |
| 5-factor detail | Requires opening Member Drill | Inline accordion within the tree |
| Typical user | Front-line managers, daily check | VPs and admins, weekly org review |
Use the Dashboard for fast rep-level identification. Use the Intelligence Treemap when you need to understand the organizational distribution of that risk – for example, before a quarterly business review where you need to know whether the problem is systemic across the whole team or isolated to one team’s process.
Next Steps: From Treemap to Action
The Intelligence Treemap is a diagnostic and navigation tool. After identifying a red or yellow node, the recommended next steps are:
- Open Member Drill – click any member node to navigate to that rep’s full behavioral profile, activity bars, and signal history.
- Send an action – navigate to the Actions Hub to send a Coaching Note, Alert, or Kudos directly to the rep, optionally attaching a coaching signal as context evidence.
- Log a 1:1 outcome – after a coaching conversation, record the outcome in the Coaching Journal to maintain a written history of interventions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the green threshold here (70) differ from the Leaderboard (75)?
The Intelligence Treemap and the Leaderboard operate at different analytical layers. The Treemap is a structural org-health view – its green threshold of 70 is set deliberately wider to reduce noise at the team and org aggregate level, where averaging effects naturally dampen individual outliers. The Leaderboard is a comparative ranking view that evaluates individual reps at a finer sensitivity (green at 75). Think of the Treemap as a radar sweep and the Leaderboard as individual biometrics – both are accurate, but they answer different questions.
Can I see the Treemap for a specific team only?
The Treemap renders the full org hierarchy by default. Collapse teams you are not focusing on by clicking their branch nodes – only the expanded branches show member detail, so you can effectively scope your view to one team at a time.
When was the SVG tree design introduced?
The visual SVG tree layout was introduced in v0.7.0. Prior to that release, the Intelligence Map used an accordion-only layout that did not render the organizational hierarchy as a connected visual structure. The v0.7.0 redesign replaced the accordion with the current collapsible tree to make the hierarchical relationships between org, team, and member immediately readable without interaction.
